Larry Nelson grew up in Taiwan and Hong Kong as a son of missionaries.  He has traveled extensively in the Orient with buying trips to Mainland China. He speaks Mandarin and has been buying and selling Asian Antiques and Art since 1976.   He does guest appearances sharing his knowledge of orientalia and is happy to share with others.  He does appraisals as well as antique shows. He is widely known for his knowledge of fine quality Antiques and Arts of Asia which are featured for sale mainly in Manitou Springs, Colorado.

For 23 years Larry and Dorothy Nelson have pioneered many folk into the antique business in Redlands, Yucaipa, and Beaumont, California as well as in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Presently they own stores in Mannsville, Oklahoma and in Manitou Springs, Colorado.   Larry taught Introduction to Antiques through Cal State San Bernardino, California which has encouraged others to rent spaces and cases in the antique malls of the area and to open antique stores in the Inland Empire. The Nelson's have rented out cases in their malls since 1983. Showcases and spaces are available both in Oklahoma and in Colorado.
